Bids Invited For Commercial Development Of Railway Land In Puducherry

    Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for the Commercial Development of Land Parcel – II near Puducherry Railway Station, in the Union Territory of Puducherry under the Tiruchirappalli Division of Southern Railway

    The land parcel – II to be leased has an approximate area of 12,688 Sqm and has a reserve price of Rs 59 crore. The land will be leased for 60 years. The Built-up area is approximately 31,720 Sqm.

    Connectivity

    The site for commercial development, located along Subbaiah Salai (South Boulevard) Road near Puducherry Railway Station, Puducherry, spans approximately 12,688 Sqm. It is bounded by Subbaiah Salai Road and Tamil Town to the north, Vanarpet Road and the Botanical Gardens to the west, Puducherry Railway Station to the east, and railway tracks to the south. The site falls under the jurisdiction of Puducherry Municipality and is governed by the Puducherry Comprehensive Development Plan-2036.

    Site is strategically located near the railway station & is ideal for commercial development, including hotels, shopping complexes, and marriage halls. These developments can significantly boost the local economy, create employment opportunities, and cater to the large influx of tourists visiting Puducherry.
