Adani Realty, the real estate arm of the Adani Group, is making a major move in Mumbai with plans to develop between 6 to 8 million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail space.

A key element of this expansion is a 25,000-seat convention center, set to be built near the upcoming Navi Mumbai airport. This venue is expected to compete with the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), owned by Mukesh Ambani.

As published by Construction World, the proposed convention center will be part of a broader development that includes five-star hotels, corporate meeting spaces, and retail outlets. Spanning 3 to 3.5 million square feet, the project aims to take advantage of its prime location near the Navi Mumbai airport, which could address some of the connectivity issues faced by the Jio World Center in BKC.

In addition to the convention center, Adani Realty has secured a 24-acre redevelopment project near the Bandra-Worli Sealink.

The mixed-use development will encompass 4.5 million square feet, with 3.5 million square feet dedicated to residential units. The company is also redeveloping the former ACC campus in Thane, turning 18 acres into a residential complex featuring six towers.

Adani Realty’s growth isn’t limited to Mumbai. The company is also involved in the redevelopment of Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum cluster, in collaboration with the state government. Its expanding portfolio includes projects in Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Pune, and Odisha, covering a range of residential, commercial, and retail developments.

Since its founding 12 years ago, Adani Realty has completed 24 million square feet of projects and is currently developing an additional 61 million square feet, signaling its rapid growth in India’s real estate market.
