Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to unveil the highly anticipated Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) corridor, a groundbreaking project set to revolutionize transportation in the National Capital Region.

The inauguration date remains undisclosed; however, commercial operations are expected to commence later this month.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, conducted an inspection at the RapidX Station in Sahibabad, touring the station and receiving a comprehensive video presentation from senior representatives of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).

The first phase of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is set to become operational, featuring five stations: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot. This phase will cover a 17-kilometer route in a mere 12 minutes, a substantial reduction from the usual 35-minute road journey.

According to officials, the route will be served by ten trains with the capacity to accommodate 1,700 passengers. The subsequent phase, connecting Shahibabad to Meerut South, will span a distance of 42 kilometers and introduce four additional stations.

The RapidX trains are set to achieve an impressive maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour, earning the title of the fastest trains in India. This swift service will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Meerut to just 55 minutes, with trains available at intervals of 5-10 minutes.

RapidX promises to usher in a new era of transportation, characterized by advanced technology, sustainability, efficiency, safety, and comfort.

In a world where every minute counts, the imminent launch of RapidX is poised to redefine regional transportation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s involvement underscores the project’s significance and its potential to enhance the lives of millions. RapidX, with its impressive speed and efficiency, ushers in a brighter and more connected future for the region.
