In November, Pune saw more property registrations, reaching 14,607 units, which is 7% higher than last year. This data from Knight Frank India, using Maharashtra government information, shows increased interest in Pune’s real estate.
Stamp duty collections in November 2023 hit Rs 473 crore, while the total value of registered properties was Rs 13,342 crore. Between January and November 2023, Pune recorded 137,217 property registrations, up 9% from 125,702 in the same period last year.
Overall, stamp duty collections for January-November 2023 increased by 10%, totaling Rs 4,779 crore compared to Rs 4,344 crore in the previous year. Notably, the total value of registered properties in Pune surged by 38% to Rs 106,562 crore in the first eleven months of this year.
Shishir Baijal, Chairman and Managing Director at Knight Frank India, expressed positivity, highlighting Pune’s strong real estate market. He pointed out Pune’s attractiveness for homebuyers due to affordability, especially in the rising demand for larger properties.
Baijal also mentioned the growth in Pune’s housing market due to improving infrastructure and increasing economic activity, setting the stage for further residential development.
