The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, predicts lots of people will use the new Noida International Airport. He thinks around 65 lakh passengers might use it by 2024-25, and this number could grow to seven crore passengers every year by 2042-43. He wants a direct way for people to travel between the Noida Airport and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
This airport is being built near Delhi, in the Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district. It will connect with trains, fast trains, and roads, as per a statement from officials.
In a recent meeting, Adityanath said that the Jewar area has become better because of the new airport and a proposed film city. He mentioned that this area might become the most developed part of the NCR soon. The Jewar airport might also become an important place for shipping things by air.
Adityanath thinks it’s essential to have easy ways for people to go between Jewar Airport and Delhi’s main airport. He suggested using fast trains and regular trains for this. He also said that the government will help with resources to make this happen.
At the meeting, he suggested trying out a plane landing on the airport’s runway in February to speed up the work on building the runway, lights, and other important things needed for the airport. The deadline to finish the first part of the airport is November 24, 2024. Right now, they are working really hard to make sure the airport area is safe, to build the runway, and to set up hotels and transit systems.
