Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for the Grant of Lease for Commercial Development of Railway Land near Ramnagar Station, Ramnagar (Uttarakhand) under Izzatnagar Division of North Eastern Railway.
The total land area to be leased to the developer is 13,625 Sqm. The land will be leased for 45 years with a reserve price of INR 18.87 crore. The Floor Area Ratio (FAR) for the Railway Land near Ramnagar station offered for development is 2.2.

- The Siteis bounded by Railway land in the North & West, by a 3.35 wide canal in the east and 9 m wide Dhela road of the PWD in the South.
- The 9 m wide road is identified in the master plan for widening upto 30 m.
As per the Ramnagar Master Plan Town (RMPT) developed by the Kumaun Urban Planning Office in Haldwani, the RMPT encompasses an area of 31.55 km². Currently, only about 2.49 km² (or 7.89%) of this area falls under the jurisdiction of the Ramnagar Municipal Area. This significant disparity indicates that the town is experiencing rapid and extensive sprawl.
