A new 400-meter-long flyover under construction in Greater Noida is set to ease traffic congestion and improve access between Site-5 and EPIP (Export Promotion Industrial Park) in Kasna. The flyover, expected to be ready by March next year, will eliminate the need for commuters to pass through the busy Pari Chowk and Kasna.

As published by the News 18, the flyover will begin near the Flatted Factory and EPIP Complex of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and will extend all the way to Site-5, near Savitri Bai Phule Inter College.

This will provide a direct route for vehicles traveling between Greater Noida’s industrial sectors and Noida, bypassing the congested intersections that currently cause long delays.

With an estimated cost of Rs 18.4 crore, the flyover will consist of three lanes. Construction work on the flyover began in December last year and is now nearly 70% complete. The new infrastructure is expected to save commuters up to 30 minutes by bypassing the usual bottlenecks at Pari Chowk and Kasna, which have been notorious for traffic jams.

UPSIDA Senior Manager Naveen Kumar Jain emphasized that the flyover will improve connectivity for vehicles traveling from the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to Site-5, offering a direct route without the need to navigate the congested areas of Kasna and Pari Chowk. Commuters will also be able to use the underpass near Galgotias College and the service lane of the Yamuna Expressway to avoid further delays.

In addition to easing traffic for commuters, the new route will improve access for residents of nearby villages, benefiting local businesses and daily travelers alike. The flyover will also connect to the service lane of the Yamuna Expressway, which has been a frequent source of heavy congestion, particularly around Kasna Market.

PK Tiwari, a founding member of the Industrial Entrepreneurs Association, noted that the new flyover would offer a much-needed alternative route for those traveling to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and beyond. With the improved access, the flyover is expected to significantly reduce congestion at both Kasna and Pari Chowk, streamlining traffic flow and boosting connectivity across Greater Noida’s industrial and residential sectors.
