Gurugram Real estate news: Authorities Remove Illegal Structures from Malls, Demolish Three Settlements.

The enforcement team of the town and country planning department (DTCP) took action to clear encroachments from the common areas of Sapphire Mall in Sector 83 and Sapphire 90 Mall in Sector 90.

District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav stated, “During the inspection, we removed encroachments in front of shops immediately and issued warnings to shopkeepers to avoid future violations. Junior engineers and field technicians inspected both malls.”

“We received complaints about encroachments in common areas of the malls. Upon inspection, the claims were found to be true. Encroachments included illegally installed kiosks and goods obstructing visitor movement,” an official explained.

Additionally, shop owners encroached upon around four to five feet of space in the corridor. The team instructed shopkeepers to move their goods inside and issued strict warnings. Further inspections are planned, and legal action will be taken if violations persist.

Meanwhile, demolition drives were conducted in Sultanpur and Farrukhnagar, resulting in the demolition of three illegal colonies using earthmovers under police supervision.

One colony in Farrukhnagar village, covering approximately three acres, with seven structures including a property dealer’s office, was demolished. Two unauthorized colonies spread over 3.5 acres in Sultanpur village were also razed.

Yadav urged locals not to invest in unauthorized colonies and advised them to consult the DTP office before purchasing land or plots.
