The development of a new city in the National Capital Region (NCR) has taken a significant step forward with the launch of land acquisition surveys for the proposed “New Noida”.
As published by News18, Noida Authority CEO, Lokesh M, recently conducted an initial survey in Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, an area included in the planned region for the new city. During the visit, officials also inspected land in Jokhabad village for the establishment of a temporary office to oversee the land acquisition and development processes.
The CEO confirmed that the land acquisition phase will commence soon, with meetings planned to obtain consent from local landowners, villagers, and village heads.
Phased Development of New Noida
The new city will be developed under the Dedicated Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), encompassing land from approximately 20 villages in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 60 villages in Bulandshahr. The total area will be comparable in size to the existing Noida city.
Development will proceed in phases, with the first phase covering 3,165 hectares, expected to be completed by 2027. Subsequent phases will be rolled out between 2027 and 2041. By 2032, 3,798 hectares will be developed, followed by 5,908 hectares by 2037, and the final 8,230 hectares by 2041.
In October, the state government approved the master plan for the New Noida project, with a vision for its completion by 2041. According to the approved plan, 40% of the land will be allocated for industrial development, 13% for residential areas, 18% for green and recreational spaces, 4% for commercial use, and 8% for public institutions. The remaining land will be used for other projects, aiming to create a balanced and sustainable urban environment.
A Hub for Investment and Connectivity
The DNGIR region is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), positioning it as a key investment zone. The area benefits from advanced road and rail networks that connect it to major locations, including Noida, Greater Noida, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area, and the upcoming Noida International Airport. Additionally, New Noida will be directly linked to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), strengthening its role as a vital transport hub within the DMIC.
Officials note that the region’s modern infrastructure, combined with its proximity to key commercial, residential, and entertainment facilities, makes it an ideal investment destination. As the project progresses, New Noida is expected to emerge as a major economic center, offering vast opportunities for businesses and residents alike.
