In exciting news for residents of Noida, a new metro link is set to be constructed, connecting Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden Metro Station. This extension route will be a part of Noida’s Aqua Line and will bring added convenience and accessibility to commuters. The proposed line will include eight stations, providing easy access to various sectors along the route.
The stations that will be built along this new link include Sector 38 A, Sector 44, Sector 96, Sector 97, Sector 105, Sector 108, Sector 93, and Sector 91. These stations have been carefully selected to ensure maximum coverage and convenience for passengers, enabling them to access key areas of Noida with ease.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has finalized the locations for these eight metro stations and will be sharing a detailed project report with the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC). The project is estimated to cost around Rs 1800 crore, and the funding will be shared by the Centre, Uttar Pradesh government, Noida Authority, and the Greater Noida Authority. Each station is expected to cost approximately Rs 20 crore to construct.
This new metro link will not only enhance connectivity within Noida but also improve the connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida. The Aqua Line, originating from Noida Sector 51 and extending to Greater Noida Depot, has already become a vital transportation lifeline for residents. With the extension of this line to Noida Sector 142, commuters from Delhi and Noida will be able to seamlessly travel to Botanical Garden Metro Station without having to rely on alternative modes of transport.
