In a landmark move, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to develop an Olympic Sports Park near Noida’s Jewar Airport, marking a significant stride in infrastructure and sports development, as published by DNA.

Spanning 52.4 hectares across sectors 22F and 23B of the Yamuna region, the facility will feature Olympic-level amenities capable of hosting international sports events.

This project, part of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s (YEIDA) Master Plan 2041, was greenlit by the state cabinet in December. Preparations are now underway to bring the ambitious vision to life.

One of the project’s highlights is the creation of an Olympic Village, which will house 5,000 residential flats. These units will include 1BHK, 2BHK, and 3BHK configurations to accommodate athletes, officials, and participants during events.

The park will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure, ensuring a venue that meets global standards for a wide range of sports. According to reports, land from 226 villages will be acquired to complete the project, demonstrating the state’s commitment to establishing itself as a global player in the sports domain.

Gautam Buddha Nagar is rapidly becoming a hub for modern infrastructure, aiming to rival metropolises like Bengaluru and Mumbai. With a world-class airport, new township projects, and rapid metro connectivity, the district is at the forefront of Uttar Pradesh’s development agenda.

The Olympic Sports Park will add another feather to the region’s cap, further solidifying its position as a premier destination for both infrastructure and sports in India.

The project reflects the Uttar Pradesh government’s broader strategy of multi-sectoral growth, encompassing road infrastructure and global-standard sports facilities. This initiative aligns with the state’s vision of fostering development and attracting international attention.

By delivering a world-class sports venue, the state seeks to establish itself as a major contender on the global sports stage, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a preferred location for international events.
