Noida Metro Rail Corporation is almost set to release the detail project report (DPR) of its upcoming Noida Metro Botanical Garden-Sector 142 line that is expected to run parallel to Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
The upcoming metro line will run between Noida Sector 142 and the Botanical Garden Magenta line. Eight metro stations have been proposed for this new route. Their names and locations are still being under discussion and will be decided next week in a meeting between DMRC and NMRC. They are currently taking the help of consultants to finalise stations.
According to reports, the metro line will start at Sector 142 and will pass through Noida Sector 125, Noida Sector 97, Noida Sector 98, Noida Sector 91.
Sector-142 station is one of the first six stations of the corridor connecting the Blue and Magenta lines’ Botanical Garden station. The line will end at the Botanical Garden.
DMRC will provide the DPR by March.
It is important to note that construction has already begun on the corridor, which will link the Botanical Garden station on the Blue and Magenta Line with Sector-142 station on the Aqua Metro Line. One foot over bridge will also be made which will provide connectivity to the internal vehicles.
The Noida Authority and metro officials have prepared a plan to make stations in such a way that maximum people can access the metro line. Experts claim that the proposed route will pass through residential areas while excluding the Noida Expressway. Additionally, there will be more stations along the new line.
About 10 lakh people of Aqua, Magenta and Blue Line will benefit from this corridor. Up until now, one had to travel via Noida to get from Botanical Garden to Greater Noida West. If reports are to be believed, the revised design could include the potential path from Sector 142 to Sectors 91, 108, 47, and 46.
