In a significant step towards Uttar Pradesh’s advancement, an ambitious project takes center stage as the Yogi government unveils plans for the establishment of a new urban center known as “New Noida.” This visionary initiative, conceived as an extension of Gautam Buddha Nagar, is supported by a substantial $1 billion master plan investment.
Under this comprehensive endeavor, the Noida Authority is meticulously crafting a blueprint for land acquisition to bring forth the upcoming New Noida. This forthcoming city, alternatively referred to as the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), is poised to provide housing for a projected population of over 600,000 upon its completion.
The meticulous development of the DNGIR area is nearing its culminating phase, with the proposal set for assessment by the Uttar Pradesh government in August. The proposed land acquisition encompasses regions spanning Gautam Buddha Nagar and the Bulandshahr area.
Projections indicate the acquisition of an extensive 21,000 hectares of land from the existing territories of Noida and Bulandshahr. This ambitious undertaking will primarily focus on the Dadri-Sikandrabad area, with a substantial allocation of over $1 billion dedicated to its comprehensive development as per DNA India.
The master plan envisioned for New Noida by the Noida Authority presents a comprehensive layout tailored to cater to the needs of the projected 600,000 residents. This all-encompassing strategy designates specific zones for industries, offices, and residential segments, poised on the verge of finalization.
Drawing inspiration from successful models like Noida, Gurugram, and Greater Noida, the Noida Authority has painstakingly designed a framework for New Noida. Furthermore, the strategy for the new city envisions a specialized master plan catering to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food processing, and agricultural industries, thereby driving the local economy.
Looking ahead to a comprehensive growth trajectory, New Noida is also slated to host a proliferation of educational institutions and knowledge centers. The city’s vision extends to encompass a robust logistics hub, poised to make a substantial contribution to its economic prosperity and swift developmental pace.
