The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has extended the application deadline for its residential plot scheme to August 23, 2024, from the original date of August 5.
As reported by the Hindustan Times, the scheme, launched on July 5, offers 361 plots in Sectors 16, 18, 20, and 22-D along the Yamuna Expressway, close to Noida International Airport.
YEIDA officials said the extension was due to overwhelming demand and aims to give applicants more time to prepare their submissions. The plots range in size from 120 square meters to 4,000 square meters, with a fixed land rate of ₹25,900 per square meter. A 5% increase applies to park-facing and corner plots.
Special provisions include a 17.5% reservation for farmers whose land was acquired for YEIDA’s development or the Jewar Airport. The authority has received nearly 91,380 applications with the requisite 10% registration fee, and the deadline extension is expected to boost these numbers further.
The allotment of plots will be conducted through a lucky draw, rescheduled to October 10, 2024, from the initial date of September 20, 2024.
YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh highlighted the strategic location of the plots and the future amenities available to residents. These include proximity to Noida International Airport, a planned film city, a medical devices park, a MotoGP track, an electronics manufacturing cluster, and MSME apparel and toy parks.
“We want to provide more time for those interested in applying for the plots. This extension ensures that everyone has a fair chance,” Singh said.
Residents of the new plots will benefit from world-class facilities in the neighborhood, enhancing the appeal of the YEIDA scheme.
